Working with the theme of connection, we branded CPHR BC & Yukon’s annual HR conference and helped the organization meaningfully engage, educate & inspire its members around today’s HR topics.

The conference theme was so colourful and fun this year and looked great on the reusable enviro sax bags attendees received.

Communication design challenge

CPHR BC & Yukon’s annual HR conference is a highlight for its members, and an opportunity for the organization to showcase leadership on HR topics and issues. We provided strategic counsel to help the organization integrate the Conference 2022 theme, “Connect,” throughout the event branding and programming.

The organization commissioned original artwork from Rosalie Dipcsu, an urban Indigenous artist, to be used as the Conference 2022 design. Our team collaborated with Rosalie to adapt her artwork, digitizing her line art for use on all brand graphics, and consulting with her at each stage of the creative process to ensure her vision shone through.

Deliverables included all digital marketing and social media graphics, on-site signage and trade show booth artwork, graphics for the event’s online platform and app, and the event’s comprehensive digital resource guide publication.

Two original paintings were created by Rosalie Dipcsu which we pulled together into the conference theme concept, in collaboration with the artist. We used details, such as the painting texture in all the signage and pulled out a line-art image of the osprey to make it scale up nicely.

Outcomes

The Conference 2022 annual event was a success. Our branding and design work helped CPHR BC & Yukon demonstrate its commitment to diversity and inclusion and provided its members with a wide range of perspectives to deepen their HR learning. The event also reinforced the organization’s reputation as a forward-thinking organization.
