Refining seafood tech brand to empower sustainable fishers

A refined brand and graphic standards helped Vericatch distinguish its fisheries catch reporting and seafood traceability software products in the marketplace, reach the right fishers, and expand its market reach.

Communication design challenge

Vericatch builds fishery data software that allows fishers to make data-driven decisions and conduct fiscally and environmentally sustainable fishing operations. To start, we consulted with Vericatch to establish a clear brand hierarchy and story between its parent company and growing family of software products. 

Vericatch’s graphic standards were created next. We refined the parent brand and sub-brand logos, fonts, colour palettes, and graphic elements. We also created new icons and provided image use guidelines. Throughout the project, we made it a priority that brand elements would be applicable in both corporate communications and the company’s software products.

The company has been using its new graphic standards to support clear, consistent communications and to promote its important role in supporting sustainable fishing.
