The Collaborative Monitoring Initiative (CMI) is implementing a coordinated program that supports regional water monitoring champions and tests the viability of a province wide approach for collaborative water monitoring in BC. iilo created a simple, efficient website for CMI to help them implement this approach.

Communication design challenge

The Collaborative Monitoring Initiative (CMI) is a partnership of POLIS Water Sustainability Project, BC Freshwater Legacy Initiative, and Watersheds BC. The CMI wants to create a resource-driven hub for all resources available in BC. With growing demand for resources during their popular webinars, it was becoming increasingly cumbersome sharing resources in an Excel document. CMI approached iilo to help them create a website to share their resources publicly.

Though simple from a design perspective, the CMI website created a great place to collect all resources.

Outcomes

With limited budget and timeline, we got them started with a WordPress website so they could continue to share resources with their growing community. As we had many ideas for how to build out this site, we helped CMI prioritize how to roll them out in a phased approach. We’re looking forward to seeing this resource site grow and support the collaboration of watershed management in BC.

Our impact

“The iilo team transformed my poorly articulated concept into a functional site that exceeded my expectations in a very tight timeline. I will definitely recommend your company to others looking for design or website development services.”
